Here's how to use it:

1. 1. Prepare the pH meter: 

   Ensure your pH meter is clean and dry. 

2. 2. Pour a small amount: 

   Pour a small, separate portion of the pH 4 buffer solution into a clean container, avoiding direct contact with the original bottle. 

3. 3. Calibrate the meter:

   • Immerse the pH probe into the buffer solution. 

   • Allow the reading to stabilize. 

   • Follow your pH meter's calibration instructions, typically involving adjusting the meter to display the known pH of the solution (4.0). 

4. 4. Rinse the probe: 

   After calibration, rinse the probe with distilled water and dry it with a paper towel. 

5. 5. Discard the used solution: 

   Do not pour the used buffer solution back into the original bottle, as this can contaminate the remaining solution. 

6. 6. Consider a second calibration point:
